March Against Monsanto

Saturday was the nationwide March Against Monsanto.  My little family participated in our local Dallas march.  It felt so great to be a part of something that means so much to us.  My sons were both chanting "no mo gmo's!"  and "Monsanto's got to go!"  I hoped in doing this march, that I could help them understand that what some people do is wrong, and you don't have to just be a little sheep and accept it when it's something like this that harms people every day.  If you don't know about Monsanto, google it.  He is the mastermind behind all of the genetically modified foods in America.  The same foods that cause serious illnesses such as cancer.  Since I have started buying organic foods for my family, I've seen huge improvements in temperament and behavior (and weight loss for myself).  As we cut out things like gluten, I'm hoping to see major improvements in my oldest son who has several asperger's symptoms.  I've read really positive things about the link between gluten and autism, and I remain hopeful that this will help him improve in many aspects.

Here are a couple pics from our march....

Yoga

Today, I'm feeling compelled to take up yoga.  I keep hearing all these wonderful things about it, and just today I read an article about Jennifer Aniston (I'd kill to look as good as her) crediting yoga for her awesome gams.  I haven't been able to locate a yoga studio nearby that seemed like something I'd like, but I'm def on the hunt for one now.  Here's hoping I can become a Yogi soon!
